The following verbs are incredibly useful to know, and the best way to learn them is to start with the ones you are most likely to use, perhaps the ones that have similar spellings in English, and practice them until you have memorized them. Next, focus on the ones you are less likely to use and continue this until you have learned them all. It may take a little time and plenty of practice, but once you have learned them you will be able to have many different and interesting conversations in French!

Try to write and say ten sentences using some of the above verbs. Some examples:

Je suis gentil. (I am kind.)
Je sais écrire en chinois. (I know how to write in Chinese.)
Je viens de Paris. (I come from Paris.)
Je fais du sport. (I do sport.)
Je dois manger. (I have to eat.)
