Can an absolute beginner learn to speak French here?

Absolutely! Our program is designed to cater to learners of all levels, including absolute beginners. Our step-by-step approach will guide you through the basics and help you progress to more advanced levels.

What levels do the courses cover?

Our courses cover a wide range of proficiency levels, from beginner to advanced. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your skills, we have a course that's right for you.

How long will I have access to the course material?

You have a lifetime access to the course.


Are the courses self-paced or do I need to follow a specific schedule?

Our courses are self-paced, allowing you to study at your own pace and on your own schedule. You have complete flexibility to access the course material whenever you like and progress through the material as quickly or as slowly as you prefer.

What support is available to me as a student?

We offer a variety of support options to our members, including personal feedback on essay writing exercises from Frédéric or a certified French teacher. You can also ask questions in the comment section of each course and email us at for any French language or culture-related queries. Our team is always available to support you in your language learning journey.

What is your cancellation or refund policy?

If you are not completely satisfied with your Talk in French course within the first 60 days of purchase, you can request a refund. We will promptly refund your course fee, no questions asked.

Do you offer any certifications for completing a course?

Yes, we do offer certifications for completing our courses.


How do I log in?

In the homepage,  you will find a Log in button at the upper left corner. 

Click it and it will take you to the log in page. 

Enter your details in the fields provided. That’s it. You’re logged in.

How can I view the courses included in my purchase?

Once you have logged in (see previous question and answer), you will be able to view Course Access page. Simply look for the Course Access button in the upper right corner of the homepage. 

You will see that all your available courses are listed there.

My courses are missing. How do I find them?

If you have signed up for a Talk in French course but, for some reason, the courses do not show up on Your Profile page, please do the following steps.

Step 1: Check your email and make sure that you received a confirmation email for your purchase.

A confirmation email from Talk in French will be sent to the email address registered to your Talk in French account. Make sure to also check your junk mail / spam folder.

There is a possibility that you used a different email address. Kindly check your other email addresses, too.

If you were not able to receive any confirmation email despite multiple double-checking on your part, it could indicate that your purchase did not go through.

Step 2: Check your bank / PayPal

To confirm that you have in fact, already purchased the course, please double-check the payment history of the payment method you used, whether it is your bank account or your PayPal account.

If the purchase shows up in your financial information but you have not been able to locate the courses using the steps mentioned, please proceed to step 3.

Step 3: Contact Talk in French support

Please send the details to and we’ll be happy to help you figure out what happened and how you may access your courses.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

In the log in page, click “Lost your password?” 

You will then be asked to reset your password:

Follow the instructions until you are able to re login using the new password. 

How do I track my progress in the course?

On the course homepage, you can check the progress bar where the equivalent percentage of the course you have completed will be shown.

Take note that the lessons may be taken in any order and your progress will still be tracked. But it is highly recommended that you follow the sequence provided.

In lessons that contain quizzes, you need to complete all the quizzes before you can complete each lesson.

Important note to course takers of the Complete Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced courses:

We offer writing exercises that are personally reviewed and given feedback by myself, Frederic Bibard. Once the essays are reviewed and approved, the writing exercise will be marked as completed. So if your essay is not yet received and corrected, the lesson will not be considered complete in the system.

Where can I access the corrected essays?

I will personally leave comments in the essay section of the course. You should receive a notification in your email inbox. From there you can click on the “permalink” and you will be able to view the feedback and corrections.

You will also be able to access your previous essays in Your Profile. You can check your essays and their corresponding feedback there.

In general, I will correct the error(s) in red and provide an alternative to your sentence in green font. Sometimes your sentence may be grammatically correct but it would sound more natural with the alternative sentence written in the green font.

Can I resubmit an essay?

We limit the number of submissions per quiz, but if you think you sent your essay by mistake, just contact us at

Can I retake a quiz?

Yes, you do have the option to retake the quiz. Each time you do, your new score will be reflected. But for learning purposes, my advice is to take note of your errors and try to do better in the succeeding quizzes.

How can I request a refund for a paperback, e-book, or audiobook I purchased from another platform?

For purchases of Talk in French products done on other platforms such as Amazon, Audible, Kobo, iTunes, or independent booksellers, please review their respective refund policies. A refund will be processed through the platform where you purchased the product.
