A long time ago, when my son Peter was in primary school, I saw one day a nightingale in my garden. He was as surprised as I was when I looked at him but, as he returned several times, we became good friends. Then he left one winter, chased by a pigeon, and I never saw him again. This morning, I was washing the dishes and looked out through the kitchen’s window that opens onto the garden. And then, suddenly, I see the nightingale that I often think about! I do not know which of us, between me and the bird, is the happiest!
